He that is slow to wrath is of great understanding: but he that is hasty of spirit exalteth folly.
He that refuseth instruction despiseth his own soul: but he that heareth reproof getteth understanding.
The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do his commandments: his praise endureth for ever.
Smite a scorner, and the simple will beware: and reprove one that hath understanding, and he will understand knowledge.

If thou seekest her as silver, and searchest for her as for hid treasures; Then shalt thou understand the fear of the LORD, and find the knowledge of God. I have seen an end of all perfection: but thy commandment is exceeding broad. MEM. O how love I thy law! it is my meditation all the day. Thou through thy commandments hast made me wiser than mine enemies: for they are ever with me. I have more understanding than all my teachers: for thy testimonies are my meditation. I understand more than the ancients, because I keep thy precepts.

Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.

The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple.
