Meditation » The righteous delight in
And Isaac went out to meditate in the field at the eventide: and he lifted up his eyes, and saw, and, behold, the camels were coming.
My heart was hot within me, while I was musing the fire burned: then spake I with my tongue,
But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.
I will meditate also of all thy work, and talk of thy doings.
My meditation of him shall be sweet: I will be glad in the LORD.
I will meditate in thy precepts, and have respect unto thy ways.
I have more understanding than all my teachers: for thy testimonies are my meditation.
Mine eyes prevent the night watches, that I might meditate in thy word.
I remember the days of old; I meditate on all thy works; I muse on the work of thy hands.

Understanding » Who understands
He that is slow to wrath is of great understanding: but he that is hasty of spirit exalteth folly.
He that refuseth instruction despiseth his own soul: but he that heareth reproof getteth understanding.
The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do his commandments: his praise endureth for ever.
Smite a scorner, and the simple will beware: and reprove one that hath understanding, and he will understand knowledge.
My son, if thou wilt receive my words, and hide my commandments with thee; So that thou incline thine ear unto wisdom, and apply thine heart to understanding; Yea, if thou criest after knowledge, and liftest up thy voice for understanding; read more.
If thou seekest her as silver, and searchest for her as for hid treasures; Then shalt thou understand the fear of the LORD, and find the knowledge of God. For the LORD giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding. He layeth up sound wisdom for the righteous: he is a buckler to them that walk uprightly. He keepeth the paths of judgment, and preserveth the way of his saints. Then shalt thou understand righteousness, and judgment, and equity; yea, every good path.

Evil men understand not judgment: but they that seek the LORD understand all things.
Even a fool, when he holdeth his peace, is counted wise: and he that shutteth his lips is esteemed a man of understanding.
Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand.
LAMED. For ever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven. Thy faithfulness is unto all generations: thou hast established the earth, and it abideth. They continue this day according to thine ordinances: for all are thy servants. read more.
Unless thy law had been my delights, I should then have perished in mine affliction. I will never forget thy precepts: for with them thou hast quickened me. I am thine, save me; for I have sought thy precepts. The wicked have waited for me to destroy me: but I will consider thy testimonies. I have seen an end of all perfection: but thy commandment is exceeding broad. MEM. O how love I thy law! it is my meditation all the day. Thou through thy commandments hast made me wiser than mine enemies: for they are ever with me. I have more understanding than all my teachers: for thy testimonies are my meditation. Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.
