Now therefore, do not let my blood fall to the earth before the face of the LORD, for the king of Israel is come out to seek a flea as when one hunts a partridge in the mountains.
For man also does not know his time: as the fishes that are taken in an evil net and as the birds that are caught in the snare, so are the sons of men snared in the evil time, when it falls suddenly upon them.
Can a bird fall in a snare upon the earth without a fowler? Shall the snare rise up from the earth and have taken nothing at all?
The proud have hid a snare for me and cords; they have spread a net; on the path they have set snares for me. Selah.
Keep me from the hands of the snare which they have laid for me, and from the snares of the workers of iniquity. Let the wicked fall together into their own nets, whilst I pass on ahead forever.
