Therefore, this is what the Lord of Hosts says: I am about to refine them and test them, for what else can I do because of My dear people? Their tongues are deadly arrows- they speak deception. With his mouth a man speaks peaceably with his friend, but inwardly he sets up an ambush. Should I not punish them for these things? the Lord abhors a man of bloodshed and treachery.
Many deceivers have gone out into the world; they do not confess the coming of Jesus Christ in the flesh. This is the deceiver and the antichrist.
to the Pit of destruction;
men of bloodshed and treachery
will not live out half their days.
But I will trust in You.
Like a madman who throws flaming darts and deadly arrows, so is the man who deceives his neighbor and says, "I was only joking!"
the Lord gives light to the eyes of both.

and the one who withholds
his sword from bloodshed is cursed.

These people are springs without water, mists driven by a whirlwind. The gloom of darkness has been reserved for them.

and their foundations
Don’t be excessively wicked, and don’t be foolish. Why should you die before your time?
their stem hardly takes root in the ground
when He blows on them and they wither,
and a whirlwind carries them away like stubble.
