Deep calls unto deep at the noise of your waterfalls: all your waves and your billows are gone over me.
[To the Chief Musician upon shoshannim. A Psalm of David.] Save me, O God; for the waters have come in unto my soul.
Your anger lies hard upon me, and you have afflicted me with all your waves. Selah.
Then the waters would have overwhelmed us, the stream would have gone over our soul:
And though the Lord gives you the bread of adversity, and the water of affliction, yet shall your teachers not be moved into a corner any more, but your eyes shall see your teachers:
The waters surrounded me, even to the soul: the deep closed me round about, the weeds were wrapped about my head.

Let not them that wait on you, O Lord GOD of hosts, be ashamed for my sake: let not those that seek you be disgraced for my sake, O God of Israel. Because for your sake I have borne reproach; shame has covered my face. I have become a stranger unto my brethren, and an alien unto my mother's children. For the zeal of your house has eaten me up; and the reproaches of them that reproached you are fallen upon me.
