Indeed, we are consumed by your anger and terrified by your wrath.

"How often do the wicked have their lights put out? Does calamity ever fall on them? Will God in his anger ever apportion their destruction?

He inflicted his burning anger, wrath, indignation, and distress, sending destroying angels among them. He blazed a path for his anger; he did not stop short from killing them, but handed them over to pestilence. He struck every firstborn in Egypt, the first fruits of their manhood in the tents of Ham.
