before You gave birth to the earth and the world,
from eternity to eternity, You are God.

He came as a witness to testify about the light, so that all might believe through him. He was not the light, but he came to testify about the light. By faith we understand that the universe was created by God’s command, so that what is seen has been made from things that are not visible.

But the Lord is the true God; He is the living God and eternal King. The earth quakes at His wrath, and the nations cannot endure His rage. You are to say this to them: The gods that did not make the heavens and the earth will perish from the earth and from under these heavens. He made the earth by His power, established the world by His wisdom, and spread out the heavens by His understanding.
For as I was passing through and observing the objects of your worship, I even found an altar on which was inscribed: TO AN UNKNOWN GOD Therefore, what you worship in ignorance, this I proclaim to you. The God who made the world and everything in it-He is Lord of heaven and earth and does not live in shrines made by hands. Neither is He served by human hands, as though He needed anything, since He Himself gives everyone life and breath and all things.
