And his tail drags the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth. And the dragon has taken his stand before the woman who is about to bring forth; in order that, when she brings forth, he may devour her child. And she brought forth a man-child, who is about to rule all the nations with a rod of iron; and her child was caught up to God and to His throne. And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she has a place prepared by God, that they may nourish her there a thousand two hundred and sixty days. And there was war in the heaven; Michael and his angels went forth to war with the dragon. And the dragon made war, and his angels; and they prevailed not, nor was their place found any more in the heaven. On this account, rejoice, ye Heavens, and ye who dwell in them! Woe to the earth, and to the sea! because the Devil went down to you, having great wrath, knowing that he has but a little time. And, when the dragon saw that he was cast down to the earth, he persecuted the woman who brought forth the man-child. And there were given to the woman the two wings of the great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent. And the serpent cast out of his mouth, after the woman, water as a river, that he might cause her to be borne away by the river. And the earth helped the woman; and the earth opened her mouth, and drank down the river which the dragon cast out of his mouth. And the dragon was angry with the woman, and went away to make war with the rest of her seed, who keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus;

(12:18) and he stood upon the sand of the sea.
