For, as the Father hath life in Himself, so also He gave to the Son to have life in Himself; and He gave Him authority to execute judgment, because He is the Son of Man. Marvel not at this; because there is an hour coming, in which all who are in their tombs shall hear His voice, and come forth; those who did good, to the resurrection of life; but those who practiced evil, to the resurrection of judgment. They, therefore, having come together, were asking Him, saying, "Lord, dost Thou at this time restore the Kingdom to Israel?" He said to them, "It is not yours to know times or seasons, which the Father placed in His own authority; but ye shall receive power, the Holy Spirit having come upon you, and ye shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and Samaria, and to the utmost limit of the earth." read more.
And, having said these things, while they were beholding, He was taken up, and a cloud received Him from their sight. And, as they were gazing intently into the heaven, while He was ascending, behold, also two men stood by them in white apparel, who also said, "Men of Galilee, why do ye stand looking into the heaven? This Jesus, Who was taken up from you into Heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye beheld Him ascending into Heaven."

And, as he was holding Peter and John, all the people ran together to them in the porch, which is called Solomon's, greatly astonished. And it came to pass, as they were parting from Him, that Peter said to Jesus, "Master, it is good that we are here; and let us make three tents; one for Thee, one for Moses, and one for Elijah;" not knowing what he was saying. Now, while he was saying these things, there came a cloud, and it was overshadowing them; and they feared, as they entered into the cloud. And there came a voice out of the cloud, saying, "This is My Son, the Chosen; hear ye Him."

"Men of Israel, hear these words: Jesus, the Nazarene, a man accredited from God to you by miracles, and wonders, and signs, which God did through Him in the midst of you, even as ye yourselves know; Verse Concepts

If He called them gods to whom the word of God came (and the Scripture cannot be broken), say ye of Him Whom the Father sanctified and sent into the world, Thou blasphemest, because I said, I am the Son of God? If I do not the works of My Father, believe Me not; but, if I do them, even though ye believe not Me, believe the works; that ye may know and understand that the Father is in Me, and I in the Father."

And Jesus answereth them, saying, "The hour has come, that the Son of Man should be glorified. Verily, verily, I say to you, unless the grain of wheat, having fallen into the ground, dies, it abides alone; but, if it dies, it bears much fruit, He who loves his soul loses it; and he who hates his soul in this world will keep it unto life eternal. read more.
If any one serve Me, let him follow Me; and where I am there will also My servant be. If anyone serve Me, him will My Father honor. Now My soul has become troubled; and what shall I say?
