All things, indeed, are clean; but it is evil to him who eats with offense. It is good, neither to eat flesh, nor to drink wine, nor to do anything whereby your brother stumbles. And he who doubts is condemned, if he eat, because he eats not of faith; and all that is not of faith is sin.

If one of the unbelieving invites you to a feast, and ye wish to go, whatsoever is set before you eat, asking no question because of conscience. But, if anyone says to you, "This is the remains of an idol-sacrifice." eat it not, for his sake that showed it, and because of conscience: conscience, I say, not your own, but the other's; for why is my liberty judged by another conscience? If I partake with thankfulness, why am I evil spoken of for that for which I give thanks? Whether, therefore, ye eat or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God, Give no occasion of stumbling, either to Jews or Greeks, or to the assembly of God: even as I also, in all things, please all men: not seeking my own profit, but that of the many, that they may be saved.
