For thou hast taken a pledge from thy brother for naught, and stripped the naked of their clothing.
No man shall take the nether or the upper millstone for a pledge: for he taketh a man's life for a pledge.
And they lay themselves down upon clothes laid to pledge by every altar, and they drink the wine of the condemned in the house of their god.
They pluck the fatherless from the breast, and take a pledge of the poor.
If thou shalt lend money to any of my people that is poor by thee, thou shalt not be to him as a usurer, neither shalt thou lay upon him usury. If thou shalt at all take thy neighbor's raiment to pledge, thou shalt deliver it to him by the setting of the sun.
