A person's pride will bring about his downfall, but the humble in spirit will gain honor.
Whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and whoever humbles himself will be exalted.

In a similar way, you young people must submit to the elders. All of you must clothe yourselves with humility for the sake of each other, because: "God opposes the arrogant, but gives grace to the humble." Therefore, humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, so that at the proper time he may exalt you.
