A fool's lips enter into contention, And his mouth calleth for stripes. A fool's mouth is his destruction, And his lips are the snare of his soul.
For a dream cometh with a multitude of business, and a fool's voice with a multitude of words.
A prudent man concealeth knowledge; But the heart of fools proclaimeth foolishness.
The tongue of the wise uttereth knowledge aright; But the mouth of fools poureth out folly.
Wise men lay up knowledge; But the mouth of the foolish is a present destruction.
In the mouth of the foolish is a rod for his pride; But the lips of the wise shall preserve them.
The words of a wise man's mouth are gracious; but the lips of a fool will swallow up himself. The beginning of the words of his mouth is foolishness; and the end of his talk is mischievous madness. A fool also multiplieth words: yet man knoweth not what shall be; and that which shall be after him, who can tell him?
