But Jesus perceiving it said unto them, Why trouble ye the woman? for she hath wrought a good work upon me.
And when Jesus heard these things, he marvelled at him, and turned and said unto the multitude that followed him, I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel.
Then Jesus answered and said unto her, O woman, great is thy faith: be it done unto thee even as thou wilt. And her daughter was healed from that hour.
And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Bar-jonah: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father who is in heaven. And I also say unto thee, that thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it.
And he said, Of a truth I say unto you, This poor widow cast in more than they all:
By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, through which he had witness borne to him that he was righteous, God bearing witness in respect of his gifts: and through it he being dead yet speaketh.
By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and he was not found, because God translated him: for he hath had witness borne to him that before his translation he had been well-pleasing unto God:
Blessed is the man that maketh Jehovah his trust, And respecteth not the proud, nor such as turn aside to lies.
Now faith is assurance of things hoped for, a conviction of things not seen. For therein the elders had witness borne to them.
ALEPH. Blessed are they that are perfect in the way, Who walk in the law of Jehovah.
He that giveth heed unto the word shall find good; And whoso trusteth in Jehovah, happy is he.
Blessed is the man that doeth this, and the son of man that holdeth it fast; that keepeth the sabbath from profaning it, and keepeth his hand from doing any evil.
Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:
For he that herein serveth Christ is well-pleasing to God, and approved of men.
And we have sent together with him the brother whose praise in the gospel is spread through all the churches;
And these all, having had witness borne to them through their faith, received not the promise,
And therefore will Jehovah wait, that he may be gracious unto you; and therefore will he be exalted, that he may have mercy upon you: for Jehovah is a God of justice; blessed are all they that wait for him.
Blessed is the man that endureth temptation; for when he hath been approved, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord promised to them that love him.
Behold, we call them blessed that endured: ye have heard of the patience of Job, and have seen the end of the Lord, how that the Lord is full of pity, and merciful.
For this is acceptable, if for conscience toward God a man endureth griefs, suffering wrongfully. For what glory is it, if, when ye sin, and are buffeted for it , ye shall take it patiently? but if, when ye do well, and suffer for it , ye shall take it patiently, this is acceptable with God.
Now in all Israel there was none to be so much praised as Absalom for his beauty: from the sole of his foot even to the crown of his head there was no blemish in him.
And the princes of Pharaoh saw her, and praised her to Pharaoh: and the woman was taken into Pharaoh's house.
Judah, thee shall thy brethren praise: Thy hand shall be on the neck of thine enemies; Thy father's sons shall bow down before thee.
And the people blessed all the men that willingly offered themselves to dwell in Jerusalem.

A man shall be commended according to his wisdom; But he that is of a perverse heart shall be despised.
Let another man praise thee, and not thine own mouth; A stranger, and not thine own lips.
They that forsake the law praise the wicked; But such as keep the law contend with them.
Her children rise up, and call her blessed; Her husband also , and he praiseth her,'saying :
And he said unto me, O Daniel, thou man greatly beloved, understand the words that I speak unto thee, and stand upright; for unto thee am I now sent. And when he had spoken this word unto me, I stood trembling.
And his lord commended the unrighteous steward because he had done wisely: for the sons of this world are for their own generation wiser than the sons of the light.
And when he was minded to pass over into Achaia, the brethren encouraged him, and wrote to the disciples to receive him: and when he was come, he helped them much that had believed through grace;
For he is not a Jew who is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision which is outward in the flesh:
For rulers are not a terror to the good work, but to the evil. And wouldest thou have no fear of the power? do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise from the same:
I commend unto you Phoebe our sister, who is a servant of the church that is at Cenchreae:
Now I praise you that ye remember me in all things, and hold fast the traditions, even as I delivered them to you.
Are we beginning again to commend ourselves? or need we, as do some, epistles of commendation to you or from you?
I am become foolish: ye compelled me; for I ought to have been commended of you: for in nothing was I behind the very chiefest apostles, though I am nothing.
nor seeking glory of men, neither from you nor from others, when we might have claimed authority as apostles of Christ.
or unto governors, as sent by him for vengeance on evil-doers and for praise to them that do well.
We are not again commending ourselves unto you, but'speak as giving you occasion of glorying on our behalf, that ye may have wherewith to answer them that glory in appearance, and not in heart.
but in everything commending ourselves, as ministers of God, in much patience, in afflictions, in necessities, in distresses, in stripes, in imprisonments, in tumults, in labors, in watchings, in fastings; in pureness, in knowledge, in long suffering, in kindness, in the Holy Spirit, in love unfeigned,read more.
in the word of truth, in the power of God; by the armor of righteousness on the right hand and on the left, by glory and dishonor, by evil report and good report; as deceivers, and yet true; as unknown, and yet well known; as dying, and behold, we live; as chastened, and not killed; as sorrowful, yet always rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, and yet possessing all things.
