Thematic Bible: To neighbours
Thematic Bible
Duty » To brethren » To neighbours
Nevertheless, you are doing the right thing if you obey the royal Law in keeping with the Scripture, "You must love your neighbor as yourself."
"You are not to seek vengeance or hold a grudge against the descendants of your people. Instead, love your neighbor as yourself. I am the LORD."
The second is this: "You must love your neighbor as yourself.' No other commandment is greater than these."
Love never does anything that is harmful to its neighbor. Therefore, love is the fulfillment of the Law.
Now we who are strong ought to be patient with the weaknesses of those who are not strong and must stop pleasing ourselves. Each of us must please our neighbor for the good purpose of building him up.
For the whole Law is summarized in a single statement: "You must love your neighbor as yourself."
