Now when Ahithophel saw that his counsel was not followed, he saddled his donkey and arose and went to his home, to his city, and set his house in order, and strangled himself; thus he died and was buried in the grave of his father.

When Zimri saw that the city was taken, he went into the citadel of the king’s house and burned the king’s house over him with fire, and died,

Then Samson said to the boy who was holding his hand, “Let me feel the pillars on which the house rests, that I may lean against them.” Now the house was full of men and women, and all the lords of the Philistines were there. And He said to His disciples, “For this reason I say to you, do not worry about your life, as to what you will eat; nor for your body, as to what you will put on. For life is more than food, and the body more than clothing. Consider the ravens, for they neither sow nor reap; they have no storeroom nor barn, and yet God feeds them; how much more valuable you are than the birds!read more.
And which of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life’s span?

And inasmuch as it is appointed for men to die once and after this comes judgment,

The second is like it, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’

for no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as Christ also does the church,

“In everything, therefore, treat people the same way you want them to treat you, for this is the Law and the Prophets.
