Then one of the twelve, called Judas Iscariot, went to the chief priests, and said, What will ye give me, and I will deliver him up to you? And they paid him thirty pieces of silver. And from that time he sought an opportunity to deliver him up.

While he was yet speaking, lo! a multitude, and he that was called Judas, one of the twelve, was at the head of them; and he drew near to Jesus to kiss him. But Jesus said to him, Judas, dost thou betray the Son of man with a kiss?

But lo! the hand of him that betrayeth me is with me on the table. For the Son of man indeed goeth away, as it hath been determined; but woe to that man by whom he is betrayed. And they began to inquire among themselves, which of them it was that was about to do this.

And immediately, while he was yet speaking, cometh Judas Iscariot, one of the twelve, and with him a multitude with swords and clubs, from the chief priests and the scribes and elders. And his betrayer had given them a signal, saying, Whomever I shall kiss, he is the man; seize him, and lead him away securely. And on coming he immediately went up to him, and said, Rabbi! and kissed him.

Rise, let us be going; lo! he is at hand that delivereth me up. And while he was yet speaking, lo! Judas, one of the twelve, came, and with him a great multitude with swords and clubs, from the chief priests and elders of the people. And his betrayer had given them a sign, saying, Whomever I shall kiss, he is the man; seize him. read more.
And immediately going up to Jesus, he said, Hail, Rabbi! and kissed him. And Jesus said to him, Friend, for what hast thou come! Then they came and laid hands on Jesus, and seized him.

And after the morsel, Satan entered into him. Jesus therefore saith to him, What thou doest, do quickly. Now no one at the table knew for what intent he said this to him. For some thought, because Judas kept the purse, that Jesus said to him, Buy what we need for the feast; or that he should give something to the poor. read more.

And Judas also, his betrayer, knew the place; because Jesus often resorted thither with his disciples. Judas then, having received the band of soldiers, and officers from the chief priests and Pharisees, cometh thither with torches and lanterns and weapons. As soon then as he said to them, I am he, they went backward, and fell to the ground. Again therefore he asked them, Whom do ye seek? And they said, Jesus the Nazarene. Jesus answered, I have told you that I am he. If therefore ye are seeking me, let these men go.
