The LORD is in his holy temple, the LORD's seat is in heaven. His eyes consider the poor, and his eyelids try the children of men. The LORD alloweth the righteous; but the ungodly, and him that delighteth in wickedness, doth his soul abhor.

Ye beloved, believe not every spirit: but prove the spirits whether they be of God, or not: for many false prophets are gone out in to the world. When the centurion heard that, he went to the upper-captain, and told him saying, "What intendest thou to do? This man is a citizen of Rome." My brethren, count it exceeding joy when ye fall into divers temptations, forasmuch as ye know how that the trying of your faith bringeth patience:

in the which time ye shall rejoice, though now for a season - if need require - ye are in heaviness, through manifold temptations, that your faith, once tried, being much more precious than gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto laud, glory, and honour, at the appearing of Jesus Christ: whom ye have not seen and yet love him, in whom even now, though ye see him not, yet ye believe, and rejoice with joy unspeakable and glorious: read more.
