But He said to them, "The kings of the heathen lord it over them and those who exercise authority over them are given the title of 'Benefactor.' But you are not to do so. On the contrary, the greatest among you must be like the youngest and the leader as the servant. Which one, indeed, is the greater, the guest at the table or the servant who waits on him? Is it not the guest at the table? But I am among you as the servant who waits on you.

Whoever, therefore, breaks one of the least of these commands and teaches others so to do, will be ranked as least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever practices them and teaches others so to do, will be ranked as great in the kingdom of heaven.
Then they reached Capernaum. When He got home, He asked them, "What were you discussing on the way home?" But they had nothing to say, for they had discussed with one another which of them was to be the greatest. So He sat down and called the Twelve to Him and said, "If anyone wants to be the first, he must be the last of all and the servant of all."
