Then shall the virgin rejoice in the dance, and the young men and old together; for I will turn their mourning into gladness, and will comfort them, and make them rejoice after their sorrow.

For how great is his goodness, and how great is his beauty! Corn shall make the young men flourish, and new wine the maidens.

and unto the damsel thou shalt do nothing: there is in the damsel no sin worthy of death; for as when a man riseth against his neighbour, and murdereth him, so is this matter; for he found her in the field, the betrothed damsel cried, and there was no one to save her.


And if a man seduce a virgin that is not betrothed, and lie with her, he shall certainly endow her, to be his wife. If her father utterly refuse to give her unto him, he shall weigh money according to the dowry of virgins.


And the servant ran to meet her, and said, Let me, I pray thee, sip a little water out of thy pitcher.




And unto the children of Israel shalt thou speak, saying, If a man die, and have no son, then ye shall cause his inheritance to pass unto his daughter.
