And these words which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart. And thou shalt whet them on thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou art at home in thine house and as thou walkest by the way; and when thou liest down and when thou risest up.
and that thou tell in the audience of thy son and of thy son's son, the pageants which I have played in Egypt, and the miracles which I have done among them: that ye may know how that I am the LORD."
And when your children ask you, 'What manner of service is this ye do?' Ye shall say, 'It is the sacrifice of the LORD's Passover, which passed over the houses of the children of Israel in Egypt, as he smote the Egyptians and saved our houses.'" Then the people bowed themselves and worshipped.
And when thy son asketh thee in time to come, saying, 'What is this?' Thou shalt say unto him, 'With a mighty hand the LORD brought us out of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. And when Pharaoh was loath to let us go, the LORD slew all the firstborn in the land of Egypt: as well the firstborn of men as of beasts. And therefore I sacrifice unto the LORD all the males that open the matrix, but all the firstborn of my children I must redeem.'
Take heed to thyself therefore only and keep thy soul diligently, that thou forget not the things which thine eyes have seen, and that they depart not out of thine heart, all the days of thine life: but teach them thy sons, and thy son's sons.
When thy son asketh thee in time to come, saying, 'What meaneth the witnesses, ordinances and laws which the LORD our God hath commanded you?' Then thou shalt say unto thy son, 'We were bondmen unto Pharaoh in Egypt, but the LORD brought us out of Egypt with a mighty hand.

My son, hear thy father's doctrine, and forsake not the law of thy mother:
but the living, yea the living acknowledge thee, like as I do this day. The father telleth his children of thy faithfulness.
Tell your children of it, and let them show it to their children, and so they - to certify their posterity thereof.
If thou teachest a child in his youth what way he should go; he shall not leave it when he is old.
And ye fathers, move not your children to wrath: but bring them up with the nurture and information of the Lord.
Gather the people together: both men, women and children and the strangers that are in thy cities, that they may hear, learn and fear the LORD your God, and be diligent to keep all the words of this law, and that their children which know nothing may hear and learn to fear the LORD your God, as long as ye live in the land whither ye go over Jordan to possess it."

Chasten thy son while there is hope; but let not thy soul be moved to slay him.
Foolishness sticketh in the heart of the lad; but the rod of correction driveth it away.
Withhold not correction from the child; for if thou beatest him with the rod, he shall not die thereof.
The rod and correction minister wisdom; but if a child be not looked unto, he bringeth his mother to shame.
and one that ruleth his own house honestly, having children under obedience, with all honesty.
For I have told him that I will judge his house forever. For the wickedness which he knoweth, how his sons are ungracious, and he was not wroth therewith.
And his father rebuked him not at any time, nor said so much to him as "Why dost thou so?" And he was thereto a goodly man and his mother bare him next, after Absalom.

Moreover, his mother made him a little coat, and brought it to him from feast to feast when she came up with her husband to offer the offering of the said feast.
Behold now, the third time, I am ready to come unto you, and yet will I not be grievous unto you. For I seek not yours, but you. Also the children ought not to lay up for the fathers and mothers: but the fathers and mothers for the children.

And he arose, and went to his father. And when he was yet a great way off, his father saw him, and had compassion, and ran unto him, and fell on his neck, and kissed him.
