And he showed me Joshua the high priest standing before the agent of LORD, and Satan standing at his right hand to be his adversary. And LORD said to Satan, LORD rebuke thee, O Satan. Yea, LORD who has chosen Jerusalem rebuke thee. Is this not a brand plucked out of the fire?

Again it came to pass on the day when the sons of God came to present themselves before LORD, that Satan came also among them to present himself before LORD. And LORD said to Satan, From where did thou come? And Satan answered LORD, and said, From going to and fro on the earth, and from walking up and down on it. And LORD said to Satan, Have thou considered my servant Job? For there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one who fears God, and turns away from evil. And he still holds fast his integrity, although thou mread more.
And Satan answered LORD, and said, Skin for skin, yea, all that a man has he will give for his life. But put forth thy hand now, and touch his bone and his flesh, and he will renounce thee to thy face. And LORD said to Satan, Behold, he is in thy hand, only spare his life.

And I heard a great voice in heaven, saying, Now it came to pass, the salvation, and the power, and the kingdom of our God, and the authority of his Christ. Because the accuser of our brothers was cast out, who accuses them before

and saying, Thou who destroy the temple, and build it in three days, save thyself. If thou are the Son of God, come down from the cross.

And after he who tempts came, he said to him, If thou are the Son of God, speak so that these stones may become bread.

Now the serpent was more cunning than any beast of the field which LORD God had made. And he said to the woman, Yea, has God said, Ye shall not eat of any tree of the garden? And the woman said to the serpent, Of the fruit of the trees of the garden we may eat, but of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God has said, Ye shall not eat of it, nor shall ye touch it, lest ye die.read more.
And the serpent said to the woman, Ye shall not surely die.

so that we may not be exploited by Satan. For we are not ignorant of his methods.
