And he was trying to see Jesus, which One He was, but he could not on account of the crowd, because he was small in stature.
Are You greater than our father Abraham? He died, and all the prophets died! Who do You make Yourself out to be?
Then they said to Him, Who are You anyway? Jesus replied, [Why do I even speak to you!] I am exactly what I have been telling you from the first.
And Saul said, Who are You, Lord? And He said, I am Jesus, Whom you are persecuting. It is dangerous and it will turn out badly for you to keep kicking against the goad [to offer vain and perilous resistance].
And I replied, Who are You, Lord? And He said to me, I am Jesus the Nazarene, Whom you are persecuting.
And I said, Who are You, Lord? And the Lord said, I am Jesus, Whom you are persecuting.
Jesus said to them, Come [and] have breakfast. But none of the disciples ventured or dared to ask Him, Who are You? because they [well] knew that it was the Lord.
And He said to them, But who do you [yourselves] say that I am? And Peter replied, The Christ of God!
And when He entered Jerusalem, all the city became agitated and [trembling with excitement] said, Who is This?
And they were filled with great awe and feared exceedingly and said one to another, Who then is this, that even wind and sea obey Him?
And He said to them, [Why are you so fearful?] Where is your faith (your trust, your confidence in Me -- "in My veracity and My integrity)? And they were seized with alarm and profound and reverent dread, and they marveled, saying to one another, Who then is this, that He commands even wind and sea, and they obey Him?
But Herod said, John I beheaded; but Who is this about Whom I [learn] such things by hearsay? And he sought to see Him.

[Certainly I am a King!] This is why I was born, and for this I have come into the world, to bear witness to the Truth. Everyone who is of the Truth [who is a friend of the Truth, who belongs to the Truth] hears and listens to My voice.
But Jesus kept silent. And the high priest said to Him, I call upon you to swear by the living God, and tell us whether you are the Christ, the Son of God.

If You are the Christ (the Messiah), tell us. But He said to them, If I tell you, you will not believe (trust in, cleave to, and rely on what I say),
