my children, of whom I again travail in birth until Christ shall have been formed in you:
Besides those things that are without, the crowd of cares pressing on me daily, the burden of all the assemblies.
If then there be any comfort in Christ, if any consolation of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any bowels and compassions, fulfil my joy, that ye may think the same thing, having the same love, joined in soul, thinking one thing;
but have been gentle in the midst of you, as a nurse would cherish her own children. Thus, yearning over you, we had found our delight in having imparted to you not only the glad tidings of God, but our own lives also, because ye had become beloved of us.
We give thanks to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ continually when praying for you,
Wherefore I also, having heard of the faith in the Lord Jesus which is in you, and the love which ye have towards all the saints, do not cease giving thanks for you, making mention of you at my prayers,
