9 Bible Verses about Affections Should Not Grow Cold

And because of the increased lawlessness, the love of the many will become cold.

Nevertheless, I have against thee because thou left thy first love.

And may the Lord make you increase and abound in love toward each other, and toward all men, just as also we toward you,

They soon forgot his works. They did not wait for his counsel,

not lazy in diligence, being fervent in the Spirit serving the Lord,

Where then is your satisfaction? For I testify to you, that if possible, having plucked your eyes out, ye would have given them to me.

I know thy works, that thou are neither cold nor hot. O that thou were cold or hot. So because thou are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I am going to spew thee out of my mouth. Because thou say, I am rich, and have become wealthy, and have need of nothing, and do not know that thou are wretched and miserable and poor and blind and naked.

And this I pray, that your love may abound still more and more in knowledge and all discernment
