14 Bible Verses about Lawlessness

him, being delivered by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, ye have taken, and by means of the wicked, have crucified and slain: whom God hath raised up,

the son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all that make others offend, and those who do iniquity;

Are you not become associates with infidels? but what affinity is there between virtue and vice? and what communication has light with darkness?

he that is vitious, is lawless: for sin is the transgression of the law.

and as iniquity becomes more flagrant, the zeal of many will grow cool.

for whilst this good man was among them, it daily pierc'd his virtuous soul, to see and hear of their detestable behaviour: this consider'd,

ye men of Israel attend to what I say; Jesus of Nazareth was a man whom God distinguished among you, by miracles, by prodigies, and signs, which God did by him in the midst of you, as you your selves also know:

for the secret spirit of misrule is ready to break out as soon as the obstacle is taken away:

wo unto you, Scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites; for ye are like whited sepulchres, which to outward appearance are fine. but within are full of dead mens bones, and all sort of filth. just so ye put on an air of probity in the sight of men, but within are full of hypocrisy and iniquity.

it being plain, that the law was not design'd against the just, but against the lawless and refractory, against irreligion and vice, impiety and prophaneness, parricide and man-slaughter,

" happy are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered.

who gave himself for us, to redeem us from all iniquity, and qualify us to be his peculiar people, passionately affected to virtue.

for I will pardon their iniquity, and their sins and their trangressions will I remember no more."

he adds, and their sins and iniquities will I remember no more."
