I give thee charge in the sight of God, which quickeneth all things, and before Jesus Christ, which under Pontius Pilate witnessed a good witnessing,

neither is worshipped with men's hands, as though he needed of any thing. Seeing he himself giveth life and breath to all men everywhere,

In it was life; And the life was the light of men;

For as the father hath life in himself, so likewise hath he given to the son to have life in himself.

In whose hand is the soul of every living thing, and the breath of all men.

And for this lad I prayed, and the LORD hath given me my desire which I asked of him:

and said, "Naked came I out of my mother's womb, and naked shall I turn thither again. The LORD gave, and the LORD hath taken away; now blessed be the name of the LORD."

Lo, children, and the fruit of the womb are a heritage and gift, that cometh of the LORD.

"Thou son of man, behold, I take away the pleasure of thine eyes with a plague: yet shalt thou neither mourn, nor weep, nor water thy cheeks therefore.

Now the interpretation of the thing is this: Mene, God hath numbered thy kingdom, and brought it to an end.

He answered and said, "It is written, 'Man shall not live by bread only, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.'"
