Wherefore, of these men who accompanied us, all the time that the Lord Jesus went in and out among us, Beginning from the baptism of John, to that same day that he was taken up from us, must one be ordained to be a witness with us of his resurrection.
And killed the Prince of life, whom God hath raised from the dead; of which we are witnesses.

And when James, Cephas, and John, who seemed to be pillars, perceived the grace that was given to me, they gave to me and Barnabas the right hands of fellowship; that we should go to the heathen, and they to the circumcision.

Then the twelve called the multitude of the disciples, and said, It is not reason that we should leave the word of God, and serve tables.
If ye have heard of the dispensation of the grace of God which is given me on your account. That by revelation he made known to me the mystery, as I wrote before in few words; By which when ye read, ye may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ,read more.

And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and saith to them, Receive ye the Holy Spirit.
But ye shall receive power after the Holy Spirit is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses to me, both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and in Samaria, and to the uttermost part of the earth.
And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and began to speak in other languages, as the Spirit gave them utterance.
By which when ye read, ye may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ, Which in other ages was not made known to the sons of men, as it is now revealed to his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit;
Now when the apostles who were at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent to them Peter and John: Who, when they had come down, prayed for them that they might receive the Holy Spirit: (For as yet he had fallen upon none of them: only they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.)read more.
