And all in the synagogue when they heard these things were filled with wrath; and they arose and cast him out of the city, and led him even to the brow of the mountain on which the city was built, to precipitate him down. But he passed through the midst of them and went away.

AND when the day of Pentecost had come, they were all with one mind together.

And crying with a loud voice they stopped their ears and rushed upon him with one accord, and casting him out of the city, stoned him. And the witnesses laid down their clothes at the feet of a young man called Saul,

And on the following sabbath almost all the city came together to hear the word of the Lord.

And Paul standing in the midst of the Areopagus said, Men of Athens, I perceive that in all things you are extremely devoted to the worship of demons.

And from Miletus sending to Ephesus he called for the elders of the church. And when they had come to him, he said to them, You know from the first day that I came into Asia, how I was with you at all times,

And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book and to open its seals, for thou wast killed and hast redeemed to God with thy blood [men] from every tribe and tongue and people and nation,

After this I saw, and behold, a great multitude, which no man could number, of every nation and of all tribes and peoples and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and having palm branches in their hands;
