After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, “Abraham!”“Here I am,” he answered.
Then Isaac spoke to his father Abraham and said, “My father.”And he replied, “Here I am, my son.” Isaac said, “The fire and the wood are here, but where is the lamb for the burnt offering?”
But the Angel of the Lord called to him from heaven and said, “Abraham, Abraham!”He replied, “Here I am.”
When Isaac was old and his eyes were so weak that he could not see, he called his older son Esau and said to him, “My son.”And he answered, “Here I am.”
When he came to his father, he said, “My father.”And he answered, “Here I am. Who are you, my son?”
In that dream the Angel of God said to me, ‘Jacob!’ and I said, ‘Here I am.’
Israel said to Joseph, “Your brothers, you know, are pasturing the flocks at Shechem. Get ready. I’m sending you to them.”“I’m ready,” Joseph replied.
That night God spoke to Israel in a vision: “Jacob, Jacob!” He said.And Jacob replied, “Here I am.”

to a nation that was not called by My name.

But if it doesn’t please you to worship Yahweh, choose for yourselves today the one you will worship: the gods your fathers worshiped beyond the Euphrates River or the gods of the Amorites in whose land you are living. As for me and my family, we will worship Yahweh.”
