21 Bible Verses about Being Without Understanding

This is why I speak to them in figures, because though they look they do not see, and though they listen they do not hear or understand.

They are a fulfilment of Isaiah's prophecy, " 'You will listen and listen, and never understand, And you will look and look, and never see!

so that " 'They may look and look and yet not see, And listen and listen and yet not understand, Lest possibly they should turn and be forgiven.' ",

For this nation's mind has grown dull, And they hear faintly with their ears, And they have shut their eyes, So as never to see with their eyes, And hear with their ears, And understand with their minds, and turn back, And let me cure them!'

"He has made their eyes blind and their minds dull, To keep them from seeing with their eyes, and understanding with their minds, And turning to me to be cured."

For this nation's mind has grown dull, And they hear faintly with their ears, And they have shut their eyes, So as never to see with their eyes, And hear with their ears, And understand with their minds, and turn back, And let me cure them!" '

He said, "Have even you no understanding yet?

And he said to them, "Have not even you any understanding then? Do you not see that nothing that goes into a man from outside can pollute him,

And he noticed it and said to them, "Why do you discuss your being without bread? Do you not yet see nor understand? Are your minds so dull?

So they kept saying "What does he mean by 'In a little while'? We do not know what he is talking about."

How inexhaustible God's resources, wisdom, and knowledge are! How unfathomable his decisions are, and how untraceable his ways!

I do not indeed venture to class or compare myself with certain individuals who approve of themselves. But when they measure themselves by one another and compare themselves with one another, they do not show good sense.

No one understands, no one searches for God.

They are estranged from the life of God because of the ignorance that exists among them and their obstinacy of heart,

I have much to say to you about this, but it is difficult to make it clear to you, because you have become so slow of apprehension.

When you have eyes can you not see, and when you have ears can you not hear? Do you not remember

He said to them, "Do you not understand yet?"

Jesus answered, "Are you the teacher of Israel and yet ignorant of this?

They would like to be teachers of law although they do not understand the words they use or the matters they insist upon.
