And they when they heard it were glad, and promised to give him money. And he sought a good opportunity to deliver him up.

and said, What will ye give me, and I will deliver him up to you? And they paid him thirty pieces of silver.

Then Judas, who betrayed him, when he saw that he was condemned, repented, and brought back the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and elders, saying, I sinned in betraying innocent blood. And they were glad, and covenanted to give him money.
