“For it is just like a man about to go on a journey, who called his own slaves and entrusted his possessions to them.
But he who received the one talent went away, and dug a hole in the ground and hid his master’s money.
“For to everyone who has, more shall be given, and he will have an abundance; but from the one who does not have, even what he does have shall be taken away.
The one who had received the five talents came up and brought five more talents, saying, ‘Master, you entrusted five talents to me. See, I have gained five more talents.’
Immediately the one who had received the five talents went and traded with them, and gained five more talents.
His master said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful slave. You were faithful with a few things, I will put you in charge of many things; enter into the joy of your master.’
Since we have gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, each of us is to exercise them accordingly: if prophecy, according to the proportion of his faith;
even up to 100 talents of silver, 100 kors of wheat, 100 baths of wine, 100 baths of oil, and salt as needed.
And huge hailstones, about one hundred pounds each, *came down from heaven upon men; and men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail, because its plague *was extremely severe.
Then you ought to have put my money in the bank, and on my arrival I would have received my money back with interest.
In the same manner the one who had received the two talents gained two more.
And I was afraid, and went away and hid your talent in the ground. See, you have what is yours.’
Therefore take away the talent from him, and give it to the one who has the ten talents.’
When he had begun to settle them, one who owed him ten thousand talents was brought to him.
Amaziah said to the man of God, “But what shall we do for the hundred talents which I have given to the troops of Israel?” And the man of God answered, “The Lord has much more to give you than this.”
He hired also 100,000 valiant warriors out of Israel for one hundred talents of silver.
Thus I weighed into their hands 650 talents of silver, and silver utensils worth 100 talents, and 100 gold talents,

His master said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful slave. You were faithful with a few things, I will put you in charge of many things; enter into the joy of your master.’
As each one has received a special gift, employ it in serving one another as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.
Naaman said, “Be pleased to take two talents.” And he urged him, and bound two talents of silver in two bags with two changes of clothes and gave them to two of his servants; and they carried them before him.
Throw out the worthless slave into the outer darkness; in that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
As the king passed by, he cried to the king and said, “Your servant went out into the midst of the battle; and behold, a man turned aside and brought a man to me and said, ‘Guard this man; if for any reason he is missing, then your life shall be for his life, or else you shall pay a talent of silver.’
Then he took the crown of their king from his head; and its weight was a talent of gold, and in it was a precious stone; and it was placed on David’s head. And he brought out the spoil of the city in great amounts.
And the lord of that slave felt compassion and released him and forgave him the debt.
Now the weight of gold which came to Solomon in one year was 666 talents of gold,
Another came, saying, ‘Master, here is your mina, which I kept put away in a handkerchief;
And he said to him, ‘Well done, good slave, because you have been faithful in a very little thing, you are to be in authority over ten cities.’
Then the king of Egypt deposed him at Jerusalem, and imposed on the land a fine of one hundred talents of silver and one talent of gold.
They went to Ophir and took four hundred and twenty talents of gold from there, and brought it to King Solomon.
Now the weight of gold which came in to Solomon in one year was 666 talents of gold,
(and behold, a lead cover was lifted up); and this is a woman sitting inside the ephah.”
