As for the ungodly, it is not so with them: but they are like the chaff, which the wind scattereth away from the face of the earth. Therefore the ungodly shall not be able to stand in the judgment, neither the sinners in the congregation of the righteous. For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous; but the way of the ungodly shall perish.
"How oft shall the candle of the wicked be put out? How oft cometh their destruction upon them? Oh what sorrow shall God give them for their part in his wrath! Yea, they shall be even as chaff before the wind, and as dust that the storm carrieth away.
Let them be confounded, and put to shame, that seek after my soul; let them be turned back and brought to confusion, that imagine mischief for me. Let them be as the dust before the wind, and the angel of the LORD scattering them. Let their way be dark and slippery, and let the angel of the LORD to persecute them.
