But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathens do, for they think they shall be heard for their speaking much:

Let no one deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience. Therefore be not partners with them. For ye were heretofore darkness, but now ye are light in the Lord:read more.
