5 Bible Verses about Childbirth

When a woman is in labour she is sorry, for her time has come; but when the child is born she remembers her anguish no longer, for joy that a human being has been born into the world:

but the angel said to him, "Fear not, Zechariah, your prayer has been heard; your wife Elizabeth will bear a son to you, and you must call his name John.

All this happened for the fulfilment of what the Lord had spoken by the prophet: The maiden will conceive and bear a son, and his name will be called Immanuel (which may be translated, God is with us).
