And I, brethren, was not able to speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, even babes in Christ. I have fed you with milk, not with meat; for you were not yet able. But ye are not now yet able:

When I was an infant, I talked like an infant, I thought like an infant, I reasoned like an infant: when I became a man, I put away the things of the infant.

in order that we may be no longer infants, tossed by the waves and carried about by every wind of teaching, in the caprice of the people, in their craftiness, pursuant to their method of delusion;

For indeed you, who ought to be teachers so far as time is concerned, have need that some one again teach you what are the rudiments of the beginning of the oracles of God; and you have need of milk, not solid food.
