Behold now therefore, this is my servant whom I will keep to myself: mine elect; In whom my soul shall be pacified. I will give him my spirit, that he may show forth judgment and equity among the Gentiles.

For many are called and few be chosen.

Now therefore as elect of God, holy and beloved, put on tender mercy, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, long suffering, forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel to another; even as Christ forgave you, even so do ye. And all things, whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the father by him.

yet unto us is there but one God, which is the father, of whom are all things, and we in him: and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him.

And shall not God avenge his elect, which cry night and day unto him? Yea though he defer them:

For thou art a holy nation unto the LORD thy God: the LORD thy God hath chosen thee to be a several people unto himself of all nations that are upon the earth.

Know this also, that the LORD hath chosen to himself the man that is godly; when I call upon the LORD, he will hear me.

Brethren, look on your calling how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many of high degree are called:

according as he had chosen us in him through love, before the foundation of the world was laid, that we should be saints, and without blame before him, through love.

Hearken, my dear beloved brethren, hath not God chosen the poor of this world, which are rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom, which he promised to them that love him?

which in time past were not a people, yet are now the people of God, which were not under mercy: but now have obtained mercy.
