Mark 15:9-15

And Pilate answered them, saying, Will ye that I release to you the king of the Jews? (For he knew that the chief priests had delivered him for envy) But the chief priests stirred up the people to desire, that he would rather release Barabbas to them. read more.

And he released to them him, that for insurrection and murder had been cast into prison, whom they desired; but he delivered Jesus to their will.

John 19:13-16

Pilate hearing this saying, brought Jesus forth, and sat on the judgment seat, in a place called the Pavement, but in Hebrew, Gabbatha; (It was then the preparation of the passover, and about the third hour:) And saith to the Jews, Behold your king. But they cried out, Away with him, away with him. Pilate saith to them, Shall I crucify your king? The chief priests answered, We have no king but Cesar. read more.
