For this reason God sends upon them a strong delusion so that they will believe what is false, so that all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in wickedness.
They deliberately ignore this fact, that by the word of God heavens existed long ago, and the earth was formed out of water and by means of water,
He writes the same way in all his letters, speaking in them of these matters. His letters contain some things that are hard to understand, which ignorant and unstable people distort, as they do the other Scriptures, to their own destruction.
and do not think to say to yourselves, 'We have Abraham as our father.' For I tell you that God is able to raise up children to Abraham from these stones.
