And he thought to himself, 'What shall I do, since I have no place to store my crops?' Then one said to him, "Lord, will those who are saved be few?" And he said to them, "Strive to enter through the narrow door, for many, I tell you, will seek to enter and will not be able. When once the owner of the house has risen up and shut the door, you will begin to stand outside and to knock at the door, saying, 'Lord, open for us.' Then you will begin to say, 'We ate and drank in your presence, and you taught in our streets.' But he will say, 'I tell you, I do not know where you come from. Depart from me, all you workers of iniquity!' For this reason God sends upon them a strong delusion so that they will believe what is false, so that all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in wickedness.

They deliberately ignore this fact, that by the word of God heavens existed long ago, and the earth was formed out of water and by means of water,

He writes the same way in all his letters, speaking in them of these matters. His letters contain some things that are hard to understand, which ignorant and unstable people distort, as they do the other Scriptures, to their own destruction.

and do not think to say to yourselves, 'We have Abraham as our father.' For I tell you that God is able to raise up children to Abraham from these stones.
