They sacrificed to demons, not God, to gods that they did not know, to new gods that came up recently, which your fathers did not dread.
But I say that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to demons, and not to God, and I do not desire that you would have fellowship with demons. You cannot both drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons. You cannot both partake of the table of the Lord, and of the table of demons.

But the unclean spirit, when he is gone out of the man, passes through waterless places, seeking rest, and does not find it. Then he says, 'I will return into my house from which I came out,' and when he has come back, he finds it empty, swept, and put in order. Then he goes, and takes with himself seven other spirits more evil than he is, and they enter in and dwell there. The last state of that man becomes worse than the first. Even so will it be also to this evil generation."
And just then there was in their synagogue a man with an unclean spirit, and he shouted, saying, "What do we have to do with you, Jesus, you Nazarene? Have you come to destroy us? I know you who you are: the Holy One of God." And Jesus rebuked him, saying, "Be quiet, and come out of him."read more.
And the unclean spirit, convulsing him and crying with a loud voice, came out of him.
And the unclean spirits, whenever they saw him, fell down before him, and shouted, saying, "You are the Son of God."
He shouted with a mighty voice, saying, "Fallen, fallen is Babylon the great, and she has become a habitation of demons, a prison of every unclean spirit, and a prison of every unclean bird, and a prison of every unclean and detestable beast.
It happened, as we were going to prayer, that a certain girl having a spirit of divination met us, who brought her masters much gain by fortune telling.
And one out of the crowd answered him, and said, "Teacher, I brought to you my son, who has a mute spirit;

But the Spirit says expressly that in later times some will fall away from the faith, paying attention to seducing spirits and doctrines of demons,
For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world's rulers of this darkness, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places.
having disarmed the rulers and authorities, he made a show of them openly, triumphing over them in it.
