Immediately his ears were opened, and the impediment of his tongue was released, and he spoke clearly. He commanded them that they should tell no one, but the more he commanded them, so much the more widely they proclaimed it. They were astonished beyond measure, saying, "He has done all things well. He makes even the deaf hear, and the mute speak."
When those who were around him saw what was about to happen, they said to him, "Lord, shall we strike with the sword?" A certain one of them struck the servant of the high priest, and cut off his right ear. But Jesus answered, "Let me at least do this"?and he touched his ear, and healed him.
To you, LORD, I call. My rock, do not be deaf to me; lest, if you are silent to me, I would become like those who go down into the pit.
But I, as a deaf man, do not hear. I am as a mute man who doesn't open his mouth.

In that day, the deaf will hear the words of the book, and the eyes of the blind will see out of obscurity and out of darkness.
Then the eyes of the blind will be opened, and the ears of the deaf will be unstopped.
