But that servant went out and found one of his fellow-servants who owed him one hundred denarii [$14], and seizing him, he choked him, saying, Pay what you owe me.
Show me the tribute money. And they brought him a denarius [14 cents]. And he said to them, Whose is this image and this inscription? They said to him, Caesar's. Then he said to them, Give therefore Caesar's dues to Caesar, and God's to God.
And on the next day, putting out two denarii [28 cents], he gave them to the khan-keeper, and said, Take care of him, and whatever you expend more, when I return I will pay you.
Why was not this ointment sold for three hundred denarii [$42], and given to the poor?
