When Jesus came to the ruler's house, he found a set of flute-players and a crowd of people making a lamentable cry, and he said to them, withdraw, for the maid is not dead, but asleep. and they treated him with contemptuous laughter.

Then Jesus entered into the temple of God, drove out all those that sold and bought in the temple, overthrew the tables of the money-changers, and the stalls of those that sold doves, and said to them, it is written, " my house shall be the house of prayer, but ye have made it a den of thieves."

At the same time, there were some present, who gave Jesus an account of the Galileans, whose blood Pilate had mingled with their sacrifices.
