He becometh poor that dealeth with a slack hand: but the hand of the diligent maketh rich.
The hand of the diligent shall bear rule: but the slothful shall be under tribute.
Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall:
The soul of the sluggard desireth, and hath nothing: but the soul of the diligent shall be made fat.
In all labor there is profit: but the talk of the lips tendeth only to penury.
And that ye study to be quiet, and to do your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you; That ye may walk honestly towards them that are without, and that ye may have need of nothing.
Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labor, working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needeth.
He that tilleth his land shall be satisfied with bread: but he that followeth vain persons is void of understanding.
But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
For he that hath entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his.) Let us labor therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.
And in the same house remain, eating and drinking such things as they give: for the laborer is worthy of his hire. Go not from house to house.
For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labor of love, which ye have shown towards his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.
