For by grace are ye saved, through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not by works, lest any man should boast.

Who hath saved us, and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given to us in Christ Jesus before the world began;

But when the kindness and love of God our Savior towards man appeared, Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Spirit;

I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do.

Jesus saith to them, My food is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work.

Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood; he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.

What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man sayeth he hath faith, and hath not works? can faith save him?

Ye shall know them by their fruits: Do men gather grapes from thorns, or figs from thistles: Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.read more.
Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them,

Either make the tree good, and its fruit good; or else make the tree corrupt, and its fruit corrupt: for the tree is known by its fruit.

Bring forth therefore fruits worthy of repentance, and begin not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham for our father: for I say to you, that God is able of these stones to raise up children to Abraham. And now also the ax is laid to the root of the trees: every tree therefore which bringeth not forth good fruit, is hewn down, and cast into the fire.

For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labor of love, which ye have shown towards his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister. And we desire every one of you to show the same diligence to the full assurance of hope to the end: That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.

But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead? Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar? Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect? And the scripture was fulfilled, which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed to him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God. Ye see then that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only. Likewise also was not Rahab the harlot justified by works, when she had received the messengers, and had sent them out another way? For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.

He becometh poor that dealeth with a slack hand: but the hand of the diligent maketh rich.

In all labor there is profit: but the talk of the lips tendeth only to penury.

And let us not be weary in well-doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.

Masters, give to your servants that which is just and equal; knowing that ye also have a Master in heaven.

In all things showing thyself a pattern of good works: in doctrine showing incorruptness, gravity, sincerity, Sound speech that cannot be condemned; that he that is of the contrary part may be ashamed, having no evil thing to say concerning you.

This is a faithful saying, and these things I will that thou affirm constantly, that they who have believed in God may be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable to men.

Having your manner of life honest among the Gentiles: that, whereas they speak against you as evil-doers, they may by your good works, which they shall behold, glorify God in the day of visitation.

I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.

Brethren, let every man in the state in which he is called, continue in it with God.

With good will doing service, as to the Lord, and not to men:

And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him:

And he said to him, Well, thou good servant: because thou hast been faithful in a very little, have thou authority over ten cities.
