I DECLARE to you, brothers, the gospel which I preached to you, which you also received, in which also you stand, by which also you are saved, if you adhere to the word we preached to you, unless indeed you believed in vain. For I delivered to you at first, what I also received, that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures,

and he is the head of the body, the church; who is the beginning, the first-born from the dead, that he might himself be preeminent in all things,

He is not here, for he is raised, as he said. Come and see the place where the Lord lay,

And he said to them, Be not astonished; you seek Jesus the Nazarene, who was crucified. He is raised; he is not here. See the place where they laid him.

and if Christ was not raised, your faith is vain, you are yet in your sins,
