Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; for he is faithful that promised: And let us consider one another to excite to love and to good works: Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

Wherefore lift up the hands which hang down, and the feeble knees;

And the people the men of Israel encouraged themselves, and set their battle again in array in the place where they put themselves in array the first day.

Behold, thou hast instructed many, and thou hast strengthened the weak hands. Thy words have upheld him that was falling, and thou hast strengthened the feeble knees.

Strengthen ye the weak hands, and confirm the feeble knees. Say to them that are of a fearful heart, Be strong, fear not: behold, your God will come with vengeance, even God with a recompense; he will come and save you.

Comfort ye, comfort ye my people, saith your God.
