I came before the dawning of the morning, and cried: I hoped in thy word.

These things have I written to you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.

Uphold me according to thy word, that I may live: and let me not be ashamed of my hope.

And behold, I am with thee, and will keep thee in all places whither thou goest, and will bring thee again into this land: for I will not leave thee, until I have done that which I have declared to thee.

But these are written, that ye may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing ye may have life through his name.

And he said, Certainly I will be with thee; and this shall be a token to thee, that I have sent thee: When thou hast brought forth the people out of Egypt, ye shall serve God upon this mountain.

For whatever things were written formerly, were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.

When thou goest out to battle against thy enemies, and seest horses, and chariots, and a people more than thou, be not afraid of them: for the LORD thy God is with thee, who brought thee out of the land of Egypt.

That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, by which they lie in wait to deceive:

We have also a more sure word of prophecy; to which ye do well that ye take heed, as to a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day-star arise in your hearts:

And he said, Hearken ye, all Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem, and thou king Jehoshaphat, Thus saith the LORD to you, Be not afraid nor dismayed by reason of this great multitude; for the battle is not yours, but God's. To-morrow go ye down against them: behold, they come up by the cliff of Ziz; and ye shall find them at the end of the brook, before the wilderness of Jeruel. Ye shall not need to fight in this battle: set yourselves, stand ye still, and see the salvation of the LORD with you, O Judah and Jerusalem: fear not, nor be dismayed; to-morrow go out against them: for the LORD will be with you.

O Timothy, keep that which is committed to thy trust, avoiding profane and vain babblings, and oppositions of science falsely so called; Which some professing, have erred concerning the faith. Grace be with thee. Amen.

But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing from whom thou hast learned them; And that from a child thou hast known the sacred scriptures, which are able to make thee wise to salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:read more.
That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished to all good works.

Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted within me? hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God.

But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase to more ungodliness.

Nevertheless I am continually with thee: thou hast held me by my right hand. Thou wilt guide me with thy counsel, and afterward receive me to glory. Whom have I in heaven but thee? and there is none upon earth that I desire besides thee.read more.
My flesh and my heart faileth: but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion for ever.

The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding to the simple.

But avoid foolish questions, and genealogies, and contentions, and strivings about the law; for they are unprofitable and vain.

Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yes, I will help thee; yes, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.

For the commandment is a lamp; and the law is light; and reproofs of instruction are the way of life:

And he arose, and ate and drank, and went in the strength of that food forty days and forty nights to Horeb the mount of God.

Now all these things happened to them for examples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.

If thou shalt say in thy heart, These nations are more than I, how can I dispossess them? Thou shalt not be afraid of them: but shalt well remember what the LORD thy God did to Pharaoh, and to all Egypt; The great temptations which thy eyes saw, and the signs, and the wonders, and the mighty hand, and the out-stretched arm, by which the LORD thy God brought thee out: so shall the LORD thy God do to all the people of whom thou art afraid.

Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding. He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength. Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall:read more.
But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; they shall walk, and not faint.

Give thanks to the LORD, call upon his name, make known his deeds among the people. Sing to him, sing psalms to him, talk ye of all his wonderous works. Glory ye in his holy name: let the heart of them rejoice that seek the LORD.read more.

We then that are strong ought to bear the infirmities of the weak, and not to please ourselves.

Behold, thou hast instructed many, and thou hast strengthened the weak hands. Thy words have upheld him that was falling, and thou hast strengthened the feeble knees.

Jesus answered and said to them, Go and show John again those things which ye hear and see: The blind receive their sight, and the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear, the dead are raised, and the poor have the gospel preached to them. And blessed is he to whom I shall not be the cause of his falling into sin.

And he set captains of war over the people, and assembled them to him in the street of the gate of the city, and encouraged them, saying, Be strong and courageous, be not afraid nor dismayed for the king of Assyria, nor for all the multitude that is with him: for there are more with us than with him: With him is an arm of flesh; but with us is the LORD our God to help us, and to fight our battles. And the people rested themselves upon the words of Hezekiah king of Judah.
