And these all, having obtained a good report through faith, received not the promise: God having provided some better thing for us, that they without us should not be made perfect.
And the father of circumcision to them who are not of the circumcision only, but who also walk in the steps of that faith of our father Abraham which he had being yet uncircumcised.
So then they who are of faith are blessed with faithful Abraham.
Him that is weak in the faith receive ye, but not to doubtful disputations.
And sent Timothy, our brother, and minister of God, and our fellow-laborer in the gospel of Christ, to establish you, and to comfort you concerning your faith:
For this cause, when I could no longer forbear, I sent to know your faith, lest by some means the tempter may have tempted you, and our labor be in vain.
But now when Timothy came from you to us, and brought us good tidings of your faith and charity, and that ye have good remembrance of us always, desiring greatly to see us, as we also to see you:
Therefore, brethren, by your faith we were comforted over you in all our affliction and distress:
Night and day praying exceedingly that we may see your face, and may perfect that which is lacking in your faith?
So that we ourselves glory in you in the churches of God, for your patience and faith in all your persecutions and tribulations that ye endure:
As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good to all men, especially to them who are of the household of faith.
For this cause also we thank God without ceasing, because, when ye received the word of God which ye heard from us, ye received it not as the word of men, but (as it is in truth) the word of God, which effectually worketh also in you that believe.
When he shall come to be glorified in his saints, and to be admired by all them that believe (because our testimony among you was believed) in that day.
Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving by them who believe and know the truth.
And they that have believing masters, let them not despise them, because they are brethren; but rather do them service, because they are faithful and beloved, partakers of the benefit. These things teach and exhort.
And the word of God increased; and the number of the disciples multiplied in Jerusalem greatly; and a great company of the priests were obedient to the faith.
Then Simon himself believed also: and when he was baptized, he continued with Philip, and wondered, beholding the miracles and signs which were done.
If any is blameless, the husband of one wife, having faithful children, not accused of riot, or disorderly.
And these all, having obtained a good report through faith, received not the promise:
And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?
